The AUTOOL BT360 battery tester is compatible with the following cold cranking current ranges. Cold cranking amperage refers to the most common rating for starting the battery at 0°F (-18°C).

• CCA - Cold-Cranking Amps, specified by SAE. Test range: CCA 100A~2000A.
• BCI - International Battery Council Standard. Test range: BCI: 100A~2000A.
• CA - Cranking Amps Standard. Effective starting current value at 0°C (32°F). Test range: CA: 100~2000A.
• MCA - Marine Cranking Current Standard. Effective starting current value at 0°C (32°F). Test range: MCA: 100~2000A.
• JIS - Japanese Industrial Standard, displayed on the battery as a combo of numbers and letters. Test range JIS: 26A17-N200Z.
• DIN - Deutsche Industrial Standard. Test range: DIN: 100A~1400A.
• IEC - International Electrotechnical Commission. Test range: IEC 100A~1400A.
• EN - European Standard. Test range: EN 100A~ 2000A.

Cranking test

It can collect and analyze the data of the cranking system, which is convenient for users to know the comprehensive status of the battery and master the battery health of your car.

1. Enter the cranking test and start the engine as prompted. the BT360 battery tester will automatically perform and complete the test.
2. It can display the results including the actual cranking voltage and the actual cranking time.
3. If the cranking voltage value is lower than 9.6V, the cranking system is determined to be working abnormally.
4. If the cranking voltage value is higher than 9.6V, the cranking system is determined to be working normally.

Charging test

After the cranking test is complete, please do not turn off the ignition and then press the OK button for the charging system test. The battery tester will take a few seconds to run the start-up test, the load voltage test and the charge voltage test in sequence.

Clear & Brief Test Report

AUTOOL BT360 battery tester is designs with simple prompts, like, " GOOD, BAD, REPLACE or RECHARGE", which are concise and easy to understand for your quick reference.

• GOOD indicates that the battery is in good condition.
• CHARGING indicates that the battery is good but its voltage is low and needs to be charged before using.
• REPLACE indicates that the battery has almost reached the end of its life, please replace the battery.
• BAD indicates that the battery is damaged inside or short-circuited which requires replacement.
• RECHARGE indicates that the battery is running low voltage, please charge and retest to avoid errors.

Operation steps of AUTOOL BT360 Battery Tester

1. Connect the 12V battery, the red clip is connected to the positive , and the black clip is connected to the negative.
2. Battery test: first select the battery type to be tested, then select the test standard and test range, and then wait a few seconds to get the test report.
3. Cranking test: After selecting the item cranking test , follow the prompts to start the engine, and the test is completed.
4. Charging test: After entering the item Charging test, follow the prompts to increase the speed to 2500 rpm for 5 seconds, and then press the OK button to complete the test.

The working principle of AUTOOL battery tester

The working principle of AUTOOL battery tester is to measure the ions on the surface of the plates to determine their chemical reaction ability and to infer the change of battery capacity by the change of the plates; it can compare the actual conductivity value measured by the battery with the standard conductivity value when the battery is in good condition, so as to determine the health condition of the battery.
