Working Principle
Pressure-Holding Leak Test Principle for EV Battery Packs:Dry compressed air is introduced into the sealed test piece. After the air supply is shut off, the test cavity remains sealed while the tester monitors pressure changes during the pressure-holding stage to determine whether leakage is present.
Four-Stage Testing Process
1.Pressurization Stage
The solenoid valve opens to introduce compressed air into the battery pack or module. Once the preset test pressure is reached, the inlet valve closes.
2.Stabilization Stage
Pressurization stops and the system rests for a set period. The compressed air initially generates heat, causing temperature and pressure fluctuations. The stabilization stage allows the air temperature inside the test cavity to return to a stable state, eliminating pressure disturbances caused by pressurization.
3.Pressure-Holding Test Stage
All valves are closed, forming a completely sealed test cavity within the battery. The pressure sensor continuously monitors the pressure inside the cavity.
If there is a leak in the battery housing, air escapes and the internal pressure gradually decreases. If there is no leakage, the pressure remains essentially stable.
4.Pressure-Decay Evaluation
The actual pressure drop during the pressure-holding period is compared with the preset allowable pressure-drop threshold to determine the test result.

Integrated Oil-Water Separator:The integrated oil-water separator effectively filters moisture and oil contaminants from compressed air, purifying the air supply, protecting internal pneumatic components, and ensuring stable long-term operation.
Wide-Range Air Supply Compatibility:The tester supports an external air supply of 0–10 bar and features a manual pressure adjustment knob, allowing flexible setting of the target test pressure for different testing conditions.
Test Data Memory:The tester automatically saves the 5 most recent test records, which can be recalled and reviewed at any time for service record keeping and fault tracing.
Fully Automatic Test Process:The complete automatic test sequence includes pressurization, stabilization, pressure holding, evaluation, and pressure release. The tester automatically outputs an OK/NG result, reducing operator error.
