Working Principle
While dashboard mileage can be modified, multiple electronic control units, such as the engine ECU, transmission TCU, and ABS control unit, can retain original mileage data, making it difficult to alter or reset all mileage records simultaneously.
1.Connect the scanner to the vehicle’s OBD-II diagnostic port. Through the CAN bus, it reads original mileage data stored in the ECU, TCU, ABS, and body control modules.
2.Automatically compare multiple mileage records with the dashboard mileage. Any inconsistency between the readings can indicate possible odometer tampering.
3.Read the vehicle VIN, fault codes, and battery voltage at the same time to provide a more comprehensive view of the vehicle’s condition.
